Mr. Leon Jarrett is the Manager of Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance and Security at Petrojam Limited. He joined the company in 1989 as Chief Chemist in the Safety Department. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Jarrett occupied several positions within the company. During this tenure he worked as Acting Factory Manager for four years in the Belize Operations.
In managing the Safety, Environment, Quality and Security Department, Mr. Jarrett is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the company’s safety and occupational health systems to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Mr. Jarrett holds a Masters in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Delaware, a Bachelor in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the University of the West Indies and a Diploma in Petroleum Operations Management from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
He served as a member of the board of directors of CAST (now UTECH) and is currently serving as a member of the Board for the Jamaica Fire Brigade. For the past five years he has also served as vice president of Clean Caribbean and Americas, a regional oil spill response cooperative.
