Suppliers/Contractors Registration And Training For The GOJ Electronic Government Procurement System

In July 2015, the Government of Jamaica’s (GOJ) launched its electronic Government Procurement System with an initial piloting of the system by Suppliers from the Computer (ICT), Pharmaceuticals, and Security industries among others.

Plans are afoot to expand the use of the system to other sectors of procurement and eventually all Government tenders will be published and managed through this electronic portal (accessible at www.gojep.gov.jm)

Accordingly, Suppliers/Contractors are being urged to register their firm in the system and to participate in the free training sessions provided to Suppliers/Contractors.

To register your firm, an authorised representative of the firm should access the web-site at www.gojep.gov.jm and:

  1. Download and read the User Manuals, accessible from the User Manuals link on the Home page.
  2. Proceed to register the firm, by selecting the Register as a Supplier link from the Home page.
    1. The system allows a Supplier to setup multiple officers (Users) to manage bids on its behalf. It must be noted that the first User account defined will be designated as the Administrator for the Supplier account in the system.
    2. During registration, Jamaican based firms must type in a valid Taxation Registration Number (TRN) in the TRN field on the first form.
  3. Note: Registration is still required even if the firm is already registered with the National Contracts Commission.
  4. Once registered, Suppliers can participate in relevant tender opportunities as per the instructions outlined in the on-line User Manual or from information received at the training session.

Whereas some suppliers/contractors may easily use the system by following the instructions outlined in the User Manuals, we encourage Suppliers/Contractors to participate in the scheduled training sessions to gain an in-depth understanding of the system and in particular on the specific steps to be followed for upload  submission of a Bid.

Additional information on how to use system or to be included in a training session can be obtained by calling the Help Desk number at (876) – 932-5220 or by sending an e-mail to: lackeisha.nelson@mof.gov.jm
